Both my sister and I are very tall. She’s 21 and 5’10”ish, and I’m 20 and 6’ish. All the holidays have reminded us was how people automatically assume you’re the older one because you’re taller. Our own family forgets this. And after all these years they don’t understand how the term “Amazon Girl” offends us. They go through the typical jokes (how’s the weather up there, can you even hear us from up there [we just ignore them like we can’t]) and we always hit our head on light fixtures to their amusement. We make fun of them for being stereotypical, short Chicagoans, but they can’t take the hint and yell at us for being offensive. Any one else with a family that does not get it?

Aww :) Glad this blog could do that for ya!
& we’re almost the same!
aw :\ if it makes you feel any better, I bump my head when I stand up on the train everyday. lol
I’m 6’2” and I absolutely LOVE it. I play basketball and it is my life. It’s all I do. I hate it though when people constantly tell me I’m tall, its like no I didn’t know that, how intriguing.
I got sent a link to this & I love it! I never really felt comfortable with my height until I read a lot of this. In the USA, there is a scholarship for women over 5 10 from the tall people association. I’m half an inch too short but I figured it would be helpful to pass on! Keep your heads up ladies, we’re tall & gorgeous! (:
My sister and I just found this blog and love to see all the posts! We have both been the tallest girls in our grade since preschool (I’m 19 and she’s 15). We love being tall and have always been comfortable with our height. Of course there are all the problems (basketball?, jeans, boys) but it’s all worth it when you have the legs that we do :) YAY FOR TALL GIRLS!!!!
Im 12 and im 5’6. Mostly ALL of my friends are short. We joke around about it and it doesnt bother me. I’d rather be tall and intimidating and short and everyone picks on you or trips over you because they didnt see you. :)
One bad thing is everyone is really short this year so it makes me look even taller! And when i like a guy that is shorter than me, my friends are like, “Well, i dont think y’all would make a good couple. Your so tall, and hes so….not.” :/
