You’re not alone. Plenty of girls that read it aren’t comfortable. It’ll happen when you least expect it, probably out of thin air. I thought that I was gonna have this HUGE epiphany about loving my height but I think it happened in the train or in the shower. lol It’s about finding what’s comfortable for you. We’re all alike because we’re different. If standing out is what you’re worried about, I say be proud that you don’t blend in. :) Also, you should read some of the posts by older women, I find them very inspirational.

I went to Foot Locker to try on a sweet ass pair of gym shoes this summer, and when I asked for the pair in an 11, he LAUGHED and said “not only will you not find this pair, you won’t find a shoe in this entire STYLE in a size THAT big”. I called Foot Locker and complained since the whole store saw this encounter take place and I got a $50 gift card for my humiliation! Being 6 ft pays off, ladies!!! LITERALLY.
Tall Girl Problems:
I am half Asian and people always say, how are you so tall? Last time I checked it isn’t your culture that determines your height it’s genetics. Genetically my height comes from my Asian side, I mean c’mon look at Yao Ming!!
Thank you & no problem, I love submissions :)
i’m 18, almost 19, and i’m 6’0 and one of my tall girl problems is that whenever i go out with my friends they always get to wear really cute high-heeled shoes, but i’m stuck with boring old flats because if i wear the high heels no boys want to talk to me or dance with me :(
thank you, darling :)
Me & my friends get stuff like that. I just laugh it of because I’m tired of stupid people :P
Nice :) you’re almost my height!
haha :) thank you! & the best part is when they try to initiate a group hug. I’m just like “ohhh my god, here we go.” lol

I’m 16 and I’m 5’11” and have been for about 2-3 years now. I used to hate how tall I was and had a HORRIBLE slouch. Now, I feel so much more confident in High School finding other people my height and taller! :) This blog is the story to my life! Keep it up! :)
There was a girl struggling to find shoes in bigger sizes. This site has shoes up to a UK 11.

Getting called “The Amazon” is the greatest thing ever, all my friends refer to me as “Jennazon” or “Amazon” and my best friend is the same height as me (5’11). We have another friend who is 6’1 and when we’re all together we call it an Amazon party. Guys eat it up. Love you all, Amazons! <3
Hello tall chickies! Just wanted you to know that I think your site is awesome! Wish I had seen it years ago. I am now 30 years old, and 5 feet, almost 11 inches. :) I hit my growth spurt at around 14 and grew about 4 inches in a year! It took me a long time to feel good about being tall, but now I realize it really does have its advantages. Honestly, people notice when a tall girl walks into a room. They WILL BE watching, so stand up straight, smile, and be confident. Never, never slouch or look down. A tall, slouching girl doesn’t look like she’s blending in, she looks uncomfortable and alittle pitiful, really. It can be tough at first, but fake it until you make it! :) A tall girl with a smile and a little attitude turns heads! I’ve found that employers really can respect you more than the average-joes, and job onterviewers are much more likely to remember you, long after you’ve gone. So girls, save yourselves some time and embrace what you cannot change. People are going to notice us regardless…let’s stand up straight, flash them a huge smile, and show them we aren’t just “tall girls”…we are the whole package! (P.S. - Good luck, and believe me, it really does get easier! )
