Your most beloved pair of super long (and super rare) jeans will wear out. Eventually.
My friend’s dad came to pick him up and he is super conservative. I was wearing boxers and a tank top like I usually wear when it’s super hot outside. Needless to say it was very awkward since the boxers were like short shorts on me.
Since I moved away from my family 6 years ago, my relatives (and often even my mum and dad) keep asking me if I’ve gotten taller since they last saw me. As if, I’m 25 years old. But the last time I saw my great aunt, she accidentally lay her hand on my butt, because that’s where she expected my back to be. I had to laugh so hard. :D @ All the girls who are self-conscious about...
Me three years ago : I hope I don’t get taller. Ugh. Me now: How dare you say I’m 5’10? I’m 5’10.5 —KT
Im 6’2” inches tall and I have had these problems all my life…….your posts remind me of my school life :) I am 22 years old now…..but trust me these problems of ugly jealous stares, rude remarks and jazz never get over…. But as you grow older people don’t mess with you anymore since your taller and wiser than them…..and also that they have to look up...
Since I lost weight I may look taller, because I’m getting a lot more comments, and at the mall today I overheard someone saying I don’t even look human.
I’ve actually been asked in STORES if I can reach for a blouse or a dress that’s too high for everyone to reach. I should charge for it.
Kaitie, 21 years old, 5'11"
All my life I have been looked at differently because of my height, from kindergarten until the 6th grade I was the tallest in my class every year. I was called a tree, a giant, a monster- just to name a few, and it didn’t help that when I took to my sport of volleyball in middle school that my coach nick-named me “The Animal”. But through it all both of my tall parents (mom is...
Being the tallest person at work/school and ALWAYS being the one that gets asked “can you get that thing off that top shelf?”
I’m not sure if this has been said already, but I buy all of my jeans at Pac Sun. They have a wonderful selection of long pants.
No, there is nothing wrong with dating shorter guys; some girls just can’t do it. I’m 5’11” and have been lowering my standards for guys who are the least bit taller than I am. No more. I have recently started dating a man who is 6’3”, a firefighter, Christian, beautiful, and does CrossFit. There is hope!
I’M BIGGER THAN YOU. <—— winning any argument.
I’m here to tell you guys that there is nothing wrong with dating a guy who is shorter than you! I’m 5’10” and my boyfriend is 5’7”. We’ve been together for 3 years and things couldn’t be better! At first people would comment on the height difference and my boyfriend would reply “who cares?”, because in reality who really DOES care?...
Lifting your arms to put on deodorant and getting your hand caught in the ceiling fan.
Lol the other day I was trying to find skinny’s for school and no matter where I went i just could not find anything to be long enough on me and if I did, they were always huge on my thighs and waist. So i settled for shorter skinny jeans and having to style them as if they were supposed to be that way! But still, I love my height <3
More muscle to keep in shape.
When one meets your [slightly shorter] boyfriend who you’ve been talking about and say “I imagined him much taller!”
I’m a freshman in high school and today in gym our gym teacher took our height and weight. Every one else in out class went and got their height taken and then it was my turn. All the other girls are like average size and i walk up to the wall and look like a total giant. they were like OMG she’s like 6ft tall…it came out that i was 5’9 1/2…AND THEN…some of...
Wear it with pride
Being tall has to be seen as one of life’s challenges, embrace your “gift”, it sets you apart from the groundlings, the air up there is cleaner, the view better and it is so much nicer to be able to rise to your full stature rather than just rise! I am 5’8” and in South Africa this is considered tall for a woman - the average being 5’4”. I have a...
Hello Beautiful Tall People! I am 5’10. In heels I am 6’1. I went to prom with a guy who was shorter than me and I had the time of my life! He was about 5’7 or 5’8. I always have dreamed of dating someone taller than me though. Because I felt awkward with the guys I knew (who were always shorter than me) Because they always stared at my boobs. Then I finally found someone...
When you do date someone shorter than you it’s ‘ok’ because his buff, broad shoulders make up for the difference in our heights. :)
“Breadsticks”. Worst. Junior High. Nickname. Ever.
When you are constantly trying to think of ways to make your legs look like they do when wearing heels…but without wearing heels…
When people say you can gain as much weight as you want and no one will notice. Is grass green?
I’m 14 and 5’11 so people always come up to me and say: Them: “Wow how tall are you? Do you play basketball?” Me: “No” Them: “Volleyball?” Me: “Um.. no” Them: “Swimming?” Me: “… Nope. I Run.”
14 years old, 6 feet tall, size 11 feet, pretty muscular and 150 pounds. I love my height! Not so much my foot size though..:) when I notice girls that are tall, i think, “wow, they are super tall!” and then I get a closer look and realize i’m still an inch or so taller… but i do love the authority of standing tall and getting everyone’s attention!:)
Julia Child was 6.2
I just watched a film titled Julie & Julia. It’s wonderful, inspiring film based on two true stories. The fact that Julia Child, one of the two main characters, played by Meryl Streep has 6.2 feet just makes it even more special. It’s not her tallness that plays the main role in the film but as I also have the same hight it just could’t pass by unnoticed. I deeply recommend...
Having to buy mens’ shoes.
Childhood memories of being asked if you were your friends’ babysitter.
You find a guy taller than you, that actually likes you, and lives near you.
Tall Girl Problem
Is it so much to ask for to be able to wear a pair of Jeffrey Campbell Litas?
when you get yelled at for standing in the front for something. like come on i know im tall but its not my fault! I GET EXCITED FOR THINGS TOO!
The reason i don’t date? Look at the title :P
wintaria asked: Aaaaaah! Anyone ever heard of Rue 21?! Not only are the clothes super cute, but they have long jeans! I tried on a pair of 7/8 and they fit perfectly, and the length was to my heel, THAT NEVER HAPPENS! Though I'm pretty sure the largest shoe size is XL, or 10. :( but they have jeans!!! Olive and tweed has got some really long pants as well! But again with the shoes... Only to 10. :P
Being ever aware when you’re going out, to not be mistaken as a man in drag.
I'm getting into modeling.
Good for parades
It’s always been great for watching parades!
I’m very tall, and lanky, and awkward. I only play basketball because the coach said I would start because I was so tall. I only date older guys because they are over 6 ft. I get yelled at for being out of “dress code” because my skirts are always to short. I’m also only 116 lbs so I have to specially order pants… YAY BEING TALL!
classy-not-trashyladies-deactiv asked: I always have to get guy shoes for certain things, it embarrassing. This one time I was going ice skating and I had to rent a pair skates and I go up to the counter and the guys like what size and I'm "11" I was like 13 or 14 at the time. And the guys eyes are just bulging out of his socket, then he hands over this pair of skates that look like they could kill someone.
I am ALWAYS asked if I play basketball by new people, my reply is usually, “no, do you ask all short people if they are jockeys?” :D
glittertendy asked: Have you seen the LensCrafters commercial where the tall girl sees her blind date is shorter than her so she immediately changes from heels to flats? It's like, c'mon, you shouldn't have to change your shoes because the guy is shorter than you! It shouldn't aggravate me this much. but ugh!!!! you know?
classy-not-trashyladies-deactiv asked: Ya know what my pet peeve is, having big ass feet because I'm tall. So I have to order like all my shoes online. So I'll be looking for a cute pair of shoes at like Pac Sun, Charolette Russe, Topshop, etc and like fall in love with a pair then they go only to size 10 and if they do have my size it's all sold out because all he other Amazon women got to them before me! And dont even...
classy-not-trashyladies-deactiv asked: The average height of an American women is 5'4 that's crazy. I always thought it was like 5'8 so I wasn't that abnormal.
Another good thing about being tall? My short friends can’t see how far my roots have grown out :)
I’m 18, 5’10” and love it. I wish I was taller (also a college basketball player). Embrace those long legs! :) Also got asked if I was standing on something at work today.. uhh no. *shakes head*
I have decided to dress as Snow White for Halloween this year. When people ask me where my dwarves are, I will say, “You are ALL my dwarves!”.
No, I don't play basketball
Whenever I meet someone new, the one of the first things they ask me is if I play basketball. Then, when I say no, they automatically say I would be great at it. I just smile and nod, but on the inside I’m like, wow if only they could see how uncoordinated I am when it comes to the actual basketball part. :)
Only mature men date taller women
My boy friend of three years is actually 3 in shorter than me. I am a very happy 6’1” women and he is a 5’10” man. I have found growing up that generally younger men/boys are not interested on women taller than them because they have confidence issues and they feel intimidated. My boy friend even admits that when he was younger he felt the same, now that he is a mature 27...
