Tall Girl Problems

Kendra, 17 years old, 5'10.5

For all the beautiful tall girls and the problems we have to endure. Through all the teasing, feeling out of place & short hems, I'm finally coming to a point where I realized that there's nothing wrong with being a little different. People still try to tear me down about it but there will always be people doing that. These problems are mostly to make you laugh & go "OH MY GOD. THAT'S MY LIFE." But this is more than just a place to share each other's problems. It's a support group where we encourage girls to see the beauty within them (so play nice, ladies). Ask me anything & feel free to submit!

"You're only as tall as your heart will let you be and you're only as small as the world will make you seem."

emstryke asked: ae online has Xlong jeans and they're amazing! for anyone who's having trouble finding long jeans check there! :)

Thank you!

ohmy-likeigiveafuck asked: I'm 14 and 5'10. Any advice for this 8th grader going into high-school.

People are going to say things, that’s a fact. But it’s not what they say that matters, it’s whether or not you let it get to you.

People say mean things to tall girls for multiple reasons. Are they jealous? Are they bitter? Or are they just stupid? Who knows? As long as you know that what they say isn’t true.

Don’t let them see you get down because people love to play off your insecurities. That’s one thing I regret from my freshman year.

Wear what you want! Date who you want!

And of course (excuse my cheesiness) be yourself.

bohemiantaurus asked: I'm 5'11 , my legs are like 75% of my height and I'm 15 years old and I basically on wear sweats and yoga pants etc because they are long. And you can find really long yoga pants at one tooth or lululemon, but one tooth is cheaper. But I got a pair of long jeans from american eagle and they were still a little short lol. but if anyone is wondering where to find long tights/yoga pants you can find them at one tooth and lululemon :)

Thank you!

inclusit asked: About your latest post - I know how you feel. For me it doesn't matter if the guy is taller than me or not, as long as I'm happy. Why do people make such a fuss when the woman is taller than the man? My current boyfriend is taller than me, and people keep commenting on how I "FINALLY found someone taller than me" - like it's some source of happiness or requirement for a lasting relationship.

This has been bothering me a lot lately. I’m love that even though you’re dating a tall guy, you don’t restrict yourself :)

alpha-at-heart asked: I'm a 6'3" 190 lb. college athlete. Stereotypically, I do play basketball; but hey, it's paying for school. I am 20 years old and still growing; I grew another inch this last year. With how off my proportions are, I can't afford much besides sweats. I just wanted to say that finding this blog has been awesome and really helps. Seeing other people with the same experiences makes it even better. I plan to share some things with my teammates. Also keep looking girls; my teammate is 6'1" her bf 6'11

6’11? Oh my…

dfghjhj asked: Anyone else out there a size 10/11 (in shoes) mostly 11? :'D

Lots of girls here wear size 10+ including yours truly :)

Check shop tall if you need some suggestions for stores

everythingyousayismagic asked: Do you know where I can find jeans that fit 5'9 girls?

Aéropostale, New York and company, Jc Penney, AE, Old Navy

blackoutpink asked: this blog is SO amazing. i'm 5'10 & i'm 14. It makes me feel normal. my legs are soooooooooooo long. it's nice to not feel awkward.

thanks for the love :)

It’s annoying how people assume I want to date a guy that is taller than me. Honestly, I like being taller than the guy. But it doesn’t really matter if he’s shorter or taller than me, and I want someone who is a good person much more than I want someone who is physically attractive!

myretardedloserlife asked: Your a dancer and tour sA that your tall?!?! Thats great espacily for ballet! The only problem i see with being a tall dancer is that you might be taller than your male partner... But overall its great!

Yeah that could make lifting a bit difficult…
