Tall Girl Problems
Kendra, 17 years old, 5'10.5For all the beautiful tall girls and the problems we have to endure. Through all the teasing, feeling out of place & short hems, I'm finally coming to a point where I realized that there's nothing wrong with being a little different. People still try to tear me down about it but there will always be people doing that. These problems are mostly to make you laugh & go "OH MY GOD. THAT'S MY LIFE." But this is more than just a place to share each other's problems. It's a support group where we encourage girls to see the beauty within them (so play nice, ladies). Ask me anything & feel free to submit!

umbrakhaleesi asked: Know of a place to buy medium height pumps, or good brand of pumps, in a size 11? Preferably for under 50ish dollars? I have trouble finding pumps that are cute, comfortable, affordable, the right size and at a medium (not dully short or ridiculously tall) height. I want to know if this imaginary dream shoe exists. Can you help me out?
Payless! I love their heels :)
aabagail asked: Growing up I've always been taller than my peers and at times i have felt uncomfortable or wondered what it was like to find pants that are long enough... but no matter what i love my height, and the more confidence you have with your height the better you look. Don't let anyone tell you your too tall or that being tall isn't great because chances are they are jealous. because after all tall is beautiful.

redvinesgiraffe asked: Hello! I just found your blog and it is actually my life. I totally forgot how easy it must be to be normal height. I am 6ft2 and I kinda feel like we all deserve freakin award for having to put up with so much!
Amen!
mauratalityrate asked: i'm not even abnormally tall, only about 5'9, (i'm 15), but i have extremely long legs, about 36". so i have to pay the extra money for long tall sally trousers without the bonus of being stunningly tall :L
Who says you’re not stunning? I think your height is beautiful :)
the-bear-necessities asked: This page is such an inspiration! I'm 5'9.5 and i was so self conscious about my height, being taller than almost anyone i know. But after reading the stories here, for my school formal i bought a pair of 6 inch heels and wore them! All night guys and girls were like 'wow you are sooooo tall!' And usually i would feel embarassed but this time i wasn't. Thank you so much, you might not realise how inspiring this page is, but it gave me the confidence to rock those heels. So thankyou! :D
You’re so welcome :)
andallthatfunstuff asked: Tall girl pro: Concerts! I just saw Maroon 5 tonight--and first off it was amazing--but just think...if I wasn't 5'10 (with an added inch tonight: thank you Doc Marten boots!) I wouldn't have seen nearly as much sexy that is Adam Levine if I was, say, 5'4. When I first started going to concerts I'd feel really bad for people behind me and slouch but I've gotten over it. They'll find a way to see and you can't help it if you're tall! Embrace the height and ENJOY the privilege of it!
:)
boots-with-the-fuhrer asked: OMG I bought a pair of jeans online the other day for $100 and they are TOO DAMN SHORT. WHY CAN'T THEY MAKE JEAN LEGS LONGER. (i'm 5"11)
I really feel like stores can take all that extra fabric they use on the HUNDREDS OF SHORT LENGTH JEANS NOT BEING PURCHASED (cuz obviously not everyone is short) and add them onto the few pairs of long jeans they offer :P
Tall Girl Shopping Rant
I like being tall, but I must admit that going shopping is always a pain in the ass.
I know I cannot be the only one who feels this way: Tall Girl Shopping Rant
EMBRACE YOURSELF
Hello, I’m Holly, 16 years old and I’m 5’11. I’ve been tall since I was tiny and only very recently have I finally accepted myself! Before a couple of months ago I refused to wear heels and would only wear flats just because I was so embarrassed about being taller than guys, or looking out of place. I also dated this really mean guy who used to make fun about my height because he was inch or so smaller than me. He told me I wasn’t allowed to wear heels just because he wanted to be the same height as me. But for one of my school dances, I finally decided I was going to get a real pair of heels and feel great! Heels aren’t just about height, they make you look better in general- feel good too! I love being tall now because it sets me apart from everyone else. I used to hate that, but now I rock it! There’s a reason why models are tall -it’s because we’re the best! So rock those heels, flaunt those legs and feel amazing! I’m now dating a lovely guy who’s 6’2 and is amazing. Your Prince Charming is out there, whether he’s tall or not!
