Tall Girl Problems
Kendra, 18 years old, 5'10.5For all the beautiful tall girls and the problems we have to endure. Through all the teasing, feeling out of place & short hems, I'm finally coming to a point where I realized that there's nothing wrong with being a little different. People still try to tear me down about it but there will always be people doing that. These problems are mostly to make you laugh & go "OH MY GOD. THAT'S MY LIFE." But this is more than just a place to share each other's problems. It's a support group where we encourage girls to see the beauty within them (so play nice, ladies). Ask me anything & feel free to submit!
"You're only as tall as your heart will let you be and you're only as small as the world will make you seem."
Tall girl perks
We can reach the top shelves. Imagine having to ask a stranger to reach something for you. A bit awkward…
We’re already tall without heels. I have three short teachers who wear 3 or 4 inches heels every single day to work. Simply uncomfortable.
We have a nice view on concerts. The other day, my very short French teacher was telling me she went to a Maroon 5 concert and couldn’t see a thing. We wouldn’t have this problem ;)
More career options. Okay, only modeling and playing sports, but still. Models have to be at least 5’7 (and that’s considered short!) and even if you’re bad at basketball, you still have more chances to join WNBA than short girls.
Longer legs. And they look even better in those sexy heels!
People remember you. This can be both good or bad. Still, you won’t have to try too hard to get attention!
Girls, being tall is beautiful! Wear those heels, never (EVER!) slouch and own your height!
I’m proud to be tall :)
Hi I’m Tiphaine. I’m 16 and just under 6’1”. I have always been tall and yes people can really be bad with this. I often cried because of this but now I won’t cry anymore cause I’m proud to be tall and I understood that when I met a girl who’s taller than me and she said to me ” Don’t worry about your weight . Look i’m 25 and I found the guy of my dreams” This has really changed my point of view! One day I went to London. This city is awesome cause no one looked at me because i’m tall. NO! They were looking at me differently. I was feeling sooo good and I was just normal for them. Now I’m proud to be tall and before of that I thought that boys don’t like tall girls. BUT IT’S WRONG! At school my crush looked at me like you know like all the boys look at a girl.. So now, Who run the world?? TALL GIRLS ♥ Be proud of yourself girls ;) Loveeee
*Sorry if my english is bad but i’m belgian ;) x
just remember
ladies, victoria secret models are the hottest women on the planet and HAVE to be taller than 5’7. any guy would drop dead to be with them. im 21, 5’10, live in miami, and i always wear 6 in heels. walk tall and proud, just remember were all super models ;)
Tall boys!
Everyone loves tall boys, am I right? Problem is, tall boys don’t always love us. For years my parents have been telling me to not write guys off because they are shorter than me and I was like NO ABSOLUTELY NOT THEY HAVE TO BE TALLER!!!! I’m 6’1 so that wasn’t an easy task to find. Recently I decided to take my parents advice and open my options up to guys that were maybe an inch or two shorter. I was lucky enough to find a GREAT guy who really likes me and loves my height. He thinks I’m the most beautiful girl in the world and it doesn’t bother him at all that I’m an inch taller.
So don’t worry ladies. You will find your guy. But don’t be afraid to loosen up your height restrictions.
5’11” and obviously weighing more then my short(er) friends…
I don’t know about other tall girls out there, but for me a big issue is some of my smaller friends not realizing that I weigh more then them even if we are the same body type (average/athletic). They take a look at me and guesstimate that I’m 130lbs since they are 5’6”/120lbs and when I tell them that no I’m actually 160lbs (perfectly average on the BMI scale) they just stammer and can’t believe it. Am I alone on this one?
5’11” & 17.
No leg room. Classroom desks. Cars. Buses.
Always asked to reach something on the top shelf.
Regular jeans = Capris.
Taller than all the guys.
If you’re not tripping over your own feet, someone else is.
Impossible for someone to lose you in malls/stores.
Concerts: best view.
Tall girl life; I wouldn’t have it any other way. (:
Above Average
I just stumbled on this site and I’m soooo happy to see it! I am 5’11” and 57 years old. I had no “tall” support growing up so it took years to embrace my height, stand up straight and start wearing heals. My husband is only an inch taller but he always tells me I’m ”full grown” and “above average”. I love it!
Tall Girl Problem
Telling the surgeon that you are 5’13 and having him say “Really I would have thought you were over 6 feet…” Minutes before surgery!
All the size 12 shoes left are HIGH HEELS? Really?
Tall Girl Problem
Hearing your dad say “Ask her if she plays basketball…” So you can say to his friends “No do you play miniature golf?”
