Tall Girl Problems
Kendra, 17 years old, 5'10.5For all the beautiful tall girls and the problems we have to endure. Through all the teasing, feeling out of place & short hems, I'm finally coming to a point where I realized that there's nothing wrong with being a little different. People still try to tear me down about it but there will always be people doing that. These problems are mostly to make you laugh & go "OH MY GOD. THAT'S MY LIFE." But this is more than just a place to share each other's problems. It's a support group where we encourage girls to see the beauty within them (so play nice, ladies). Ask me anything & feel free to submit!
"You're only as tall as your heart will let you be and you're only as small as the world will make you seem."
When your family members say ” aah you’ve grown so tall” but they saw you last week
allthoselittlethingsabout1d asked: I am 6'0 and I love my height. I'm 14 and a lot of people ask me if i hate being tall. I just embrace it.
:)
imabelieber4ever67 asked: I'm 13 soon and I'm 5'8 and a bit ill grow at least 3-4 more inches! I'm SCARED for high school, people say you don't fit in when your tall and that u can't get ANY guys!!! HELP! Be honest is this true? And any tips?
Not true!
Some helpful tips?
Always work on your posture. Slouching makes you look insecure and everybody loves a confident person.
Don’t worry about the boys. They don’t even understand themselves yet. No way they’re gonna understand what to look for in a girl.
WEAR WHAT YOU WANT.
Don’t take everything to the heart. Not every “wow, you’re tall” has to be offensive.
infinityofanchors asked: This blog has just made my life haha it's awesome! I'm 21 yrs old and I'm 6 ft! Embrace it ladies. :)
that-skyscraper asked: So, I'm 21 and 6'2". All my life I have been insecure about it, but then I discovered this last year. I read all of the posts in one day, and it instantly made me have a different feeling about it. Instead of feeling bad for myself, I felt lucky! So now, whenever I start to feel down like that again, I just go on here, and it like, fixes me :)
bbexhss asked: Did you see the Buzzfeed article from today? "the 32 absolute worst parts about being tall" complete with pictures and gifs. but naturally they assumed that all tall people are men. rude.
I saw it :P
Some of them were funny but some of them were stereotypical an annoying.
diaryofanerdgirl asked: Do you wear heals? I'm 17 years old and 5' 9.5" I guess I'm not all that tall for a "tall girl" at my age but all my friends are like 5' 3" - 5' 7" and I just feel so awkward. I actually really love wearing heals but I'm embarrassed to be almost a foot taller than all of them when I do. I suppose I should just get over it but it's hard because I don't want to be taller than all the guys who are like my height to 6' 3"
I personally don’t like them because they are not comfortable to walk in but I wear them for special occasions that call for them.
But if you want to wear them, wear them! If you don’t want to draw attention to yourself, that’s fine but the attention that you draw isn’t necessarily negative. You stand out and people want to look at you. And don’t worry about the boys. If they don’t like you for you they’re not worth it.
keep-it-strictly-g-deactivated2 asked: So my coworker told me I was single because I was too tall. I'm 20 years old and 5"8. Needless to say he's bitter because he can't handle dating tall women. Love your legs for days ladies ;D
Yeah, girl :)
jeans.
On Alloy.com you can order jeans with up to a 37” inseam, and they’re all pretty inexpensive and they have a huge selection. i’m 6 feet and aaalll legs (super disproportional, it’s great) so this has been one of the best discoveries of my life. Hopefully this helps a few girls out there!
When your friends measure guys heights saying ” well he’s nearly as tall as you “
