Tall Girl Problems
Kendra, 17 years old, 5'10.5For all the beautiful tall girls and the problems we have to endure. Through all the teasing, feeling out of place & short hems, I'm finally coming to a point where I realized that there's nothing wrong with being a little different. People still try to tear me down about it but there will always be people doing that. These problems are mostly to make you laugh & go "OH MY GOD. THAT'S MY LIFE." But this is more than just a place to share each other's problems. It's a support group where we encourage girls to see the beauty within them (so play nice, ladies). although i don’t particularly love being tall, this community seems so amazing with the way theres so much positive feedback and its soooo needed because theres soo much hate for some of these girls and they need love. Tall girls need love too!
I am 5’8” and my mom is 5’2”, and people have felt compelled to say “you’re taller than your mother” all the time, I have been taller than her for the last 10 years…we now proceed to snark about it as soon as it is just us seeing as I am nearly a head taller and it is insanely obvious that I am taller…it is much easier to deal with being one of the tallest in my family of you can laugh about it
Well, just wanted to say that my name is Kendra, I am also 17, aaanndd i’m 5’ 10” as well. Thought it was kinda weird haha
This is me at my band banquet, I am a 5’11” freshman with 5” heels on (making me around 6’4”)next to my senior friends. I was the tallest girl in the room, and almost the tallest person, I almost hit every decoration above my head and I had to duck on the way in. But let me tell you I love my height, granted it wasn’t totally fun being taller than almost all of the guys, but i felt so confident, even with everyone telling me I didn’t need the heels. Even when I took my heels off (which was very soon, I brought sparkly TOMS to change into) I was still as taller or taller than a lot of people. It was a fun night and many girls need to stop worrying about their height and just find themselves :D
Jeans
Heya! If anyone following this lives in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area, great places to find long jeans are Gabriel Brothers and the Gap Outlet in Hebron, KY. I know it’s always a pain to shop for jeans, and can be emotionally draining sometimes, and you might have to dig a little to find some good long jeans, but both of these places have provided me with great jeans.
