Tall Girl Problems
Kendra, 17 years old, 5'10.5For all the beautiful tall girls and the problems we have to endure. Through all the teasing, feeling out of place & short hems, I'm finally coming to a point where I realized that there's nothing wrong with being a little different. People still try to tear me down about it but there will always be people doing that. These problems are mostly to make you laugh & go "OH MY GOD. THAT'S MY LIFE." But this is more than just a place to share each other's problems. It's a support group where we encourage girls to see the beauty within them (so play nice, ladies). Ask me anything & feel free to submit!

When they finally have your size at store but they don’t have any because all the girls who aren’t that size tried to squeeze into it and bought them all
When an obese person points at you and says “wow, look at that big girl” even though you’re underweight. Aaaaand you can’t say anything back about their weight, because that would be “mean”.

i want to dedicate this post to all tall girls over here :) i used to hate my height too but now i regret every second spent on wishing to be shorter(i’m 5’11) It’s almost new year, promise me that in 2013 you will love yourself, you will learn how to i promise!! i don’t want to see how you all complain, i think its’ time to understand that it’s a gift, you were born to stand out so why do you want to fit in? you probably all know what victoria’s secret is. Victoria’s secret fashion show is always a huge event. Each victoria’s secret model is AT LEAST your height and hey everybody says that they are perfect and blessed, you can watch one of their fashion shows on youtube and look at the comments, each is about their perfect body, and boys telling that their wish is to date a girl like that and girls saying that they are jelaous and their confidence when they look at them. just look at those models , they are all tall and beautiful, and that’s how you look when you walk down the street :) we can wear just jeans and plain shirt and we will still look amaizng because of long legs :) And people constantly asking about your height? you have to remember that hate and jealousy is easy, love takes courage :) remember once you’ve accepted your flaws no one can use them against you. i love you all tall girls, you are beautiful just the way you are :)
Not so-Tall girl problem-- I was walking about the mall today and went with my mother (who is about 70% leg) to the “Tall Girl” shop and being dwarfed by everything around me. Yes my mother is shorter than me, but she was the only one. It was bizarre because I was the only one in heels and everyone else was slouching, and wandering about in Uggs at 6 feet. So I felt like a midget, but then I take one step out of the store and all of a sudden I’m a giant with an XL jean size even though I’m only 5’ 9”. It’s that weird in-between where you’re completely happy being “The Tall One”, but then all of a sudden you can’t find jeans anywhere without taking them down, or taking them up (and paying $100/pair).

I'm 14 and already 6 foot... like people don't really get that it isnt always fun and games to have long legs and be taller than the rest... I have longer legs and a shorter torso and jeans shopping is literally hell! It always seemed like there weren't that many people having this problem, glad to know I'm not the only one xx

There’s nothing wrong with commanding the attention of a room! If you are a little shy I understand but if you like to stand out, enjoy it. The stares aren’t always negative attention and if it is, who cares? Wear what you like and wear it confidently. There’s nothing like a beautiful, confident tall girl :)

Give it another year or two. When I came back to HS my sophomore year the boys had shot up over the summer.

Hi, I’m twelve years old and I’m 6 feet tall. There’s only one guy taller then me in my grade. I’ve never had a boyfriend and if I did he would be way shorter than me. I have a lot of guy friends because of all the sports I play and they always talk to me as if I’m just one of the guys. They tease me and I’m fine with it all its just that sometimes I get lonely and wish I have a boyfriend :\
Don’t worry about boys. At your age, they’re stupid anyway and you have plenty of time for a relationship. It’s hard right now but they will change: they’ll be taller, cuter, more interested in girls…your feelings and preferences will change. Just dont rush the boyfriend thing. The rush isn’t worth it.
