Tall Girl Problems
Kendra, 17 years old, 5'10.5For all the beautiful tall girls and the problems we have to endure. Through all the teasing, feeling out of place & short hems, I'm finally coming to a point where I realized that there's nothing wrong with being a little different. People still try to tear me down about it but there will always be people doing that. These problems are mostly to make you laugh & go "OH MY GOD. THAT'S MY LIFE." But this is more than just a place to share each other's problems. It's a support group where we encourage girls to see the beauty within them (so play nice, ladies). Ask me anything & feel free to submit!
"You're only as tall as your heart will let you be and you're only as small as the world will make you seem."
beingapotterheadisawesome asked: I'm five foot seven and my foot is a size five in women's. I'm not joking, sometimes I can even fit into a size four and a half in kids. It doesn't look weird at all on me.
That’s amazing :0
Shoe shopping must be a breeze, huh?
“That sucks for you, you can ONLY date guys taller than you.”
Yeah, well what if I don’t care?
I’d much rather date a funny, nice guy a few inches shorter than me than a jerk a few inches taller.
Tall girl problem: Everyone assumes you only like taller guys and it must be hard to find a boyfriend
I’m pushing 6’3” (somehow still growing at age 23) and am so used to everyone being shorter than me, that I find it weird and slightly uncomfortable to be with guys who are taller than me. Not that it’s something I can’t get over - but almost all of my previous relationships have been with shorter men, just the way I like it. My boyfriend is 5’10” and I wouldn’t change a thing about him.
Dresses that are short/normal on others are indecent on tall girls. :/
When you hear people whispering
“She’s tall”
As you walk by
TO ALL TALL GIRLS WHO DONT LIKE THEIR HEIGHT
for all of you 12-14 year olds who are tall and have always been known as “the tall girl”, you probably do not like your height now BUT YOU WILL i promise!! im 16 and 5’10.5 and i’ve been 5’9 since grade 8. I used to hate my height and always wish i was shorter but i love it now! once you go to high school, every girl wishes they were your height. i literally have at least one girl every day tell me she wishes she was as tall as me. even if people dont say it, they still think it trust me. and GO PLAY VOLLEYBALL AND BASKETBALL it is sooo much fun when your tall and everyone loves you and you get to feel so intimidating and good when you play haha. and you also get told “omg your so tall just like a model are you a model??” and only tall girls are told that :) and you should try modelling too its alot of fun and definitely makes you feel better about your height, it makes you proud of it! so if your not in high school yet or even if your just in grade 9 and you dont like your height, dont worry, you will soon :) xo
funny-ch1ck asked: Im 13 and I'm 5'5" and taller than everyone in my family, I also have extra weight on myself but everyone thinks I'm supposed to have less weight. I'm 120lbs. Am I normal or..?
Yes :) your BMI is in thd healthy range and you would actually be considered as having a small frame. Your doctor will tell you if you’re not at a healthy weight but as of now, don’t worry about it.
I’m so glad I found this site! I just turned fourteen and am 5’11”, and I am still growing :/ I hate being tall so much and I always feel like and awkward duckling at school towering above everyone. Until I found this site, I thought I was the only one with all these tall problems such as none of my pants pass my ankles so I wear boot everyday. But now, I really hate being tall because their are only one or two boys that are taller than me. Now I slouch all the time and I’ve stopped wearing even the slightest of heels (on boots!) I always lie about my height, and short people always tell me they want to be my height, and I am all like be careful what you wish for! I do play volleyball and basketball, but it annoys me how everyone says how good I must be, and just because I’m tall doesn’t mean I’m good (and I’m really not!) Everyone tells me I will love being tall, but I highly doubt that because I feel so awkward. Thankfully I found this so I can feel better to know I’m not the only one!:)
