Tall Girl Problems
Kendra, 17 years old, 5'10.5For all the beautiful tall girls and the problems we have to endure. Through all the teasing, feeling out of place & short hems, I'm finally coming to a point where I realized that there's nothing wrong with being a little different. People still try to tear me down about it but there will always be people doing that. These problems are mostly to make you laugh & go "OH MY GOD. THAT'S MY LIFE." But this is more than just a place to share each other's problems. It's a support group where we encourage girls to see the beauty within them (so play nice, ladies). Ask me anything & feel free to submit!

This is a picture of me with my father in the French Alpes last year. I was 14 and 5”9, my father is 6”3 (and we’re both standing on rocks with hiking shoes on). I’ve never really hate my height, I always quite liked being taller than everybody and being allowed into rollercosters two years before all my friends.
A few years ago I was in Paris with my parents and we went to the Eiffel Tower and there was this old, tiny Asian lady who wanted to get a picture with me. Appearantly she thought that I was a Parisienne and that all French girls looked alike me :P. I quite like the thought that that lady went back to wherever she came from with that picture, showing it to everyone and stuff.
My boyfriend is a little shorter than I am but it’s not really a problem, it’s not like he’s three feet smaller than me or something. He goes absolutely crazy for my legs :3

EVERYONE has (or will have) stretch marks!
To the 13 year old who’s worried about showing your stretch marks: really, everyone has them or will at least. Chubby girls, skinny girls… I weigh 114 lbs and have them. If you don’t have them (or don’t get them later in your life) you probably don’t have a skin.

i’m almost 5’11” (and chubby), which has always seemed ridiculously big, even tho it’s not nearly the height in most of these posts. i never really liked my height before and it made it difficult to make friends or get a date, but my current boyfriend is amazing and has made me like my stature. he’s slightly shorter with a smaller build, and at first i was afraid he’d feel awkward, but we kind of love it now and i think we’re adorable. anyway for the girls who care about being taller than your s.o., it’s really not a big deal and is just a social stigma you can ignore if you try. you don’t need protecting, you don’t need sheltering from someone bigger than you. stand tall and love whoever you wanna love!!!

He likes you the way you are and if this is someone you want to get serious with, it only makes sense that you accept him the way he is as well. When things get serious, when you really live someone, you don’t care how they look.
I’m 13. I used to be 5’7 and I got yet again another growth spurt and now I’m 5’9. The problem is I got stretch marks on my thighs and I’m going on my 7th grade trip to florida. We are going to be swimming and everything and I’m really self conscious. I’m scared that people will make fun of me. Help?
These changes that your going through are the same as everyone around you. They will probably have the same problem you do (that’s what I found when I was self-conscious about my stretchmarks in junior high). Don’t let people feel like you’re ashamed of your body because they like to use your weaknesses against you. If you’re proud of who you are, nobody will be able to make fun of you because they’ll realize their words don’t matter!ilovethewaay asked: the only thing I hate about being tall is having guys shorter than you. I've liked a guy for a while but he is shorter than me. ( I'm 5'7" and in 7th grade.) and everyone including my best friend is like you can't date him because he's shorter than you and that's stupid. and it's suppeerr annoying because I really like him. :/
I understand. My jhs crush was half a foot shorter than me.
If you really like him it won’t be hard to see past his physicality. Be open to anything! You might be passing up a great guy because of the way he looks. You’ll never know unless you give him a chance.
