Tall Girl Problems

Kendra, 17 years old, 5'10.5

For all the beautiful tall girls and the problems we have to endure. Through all the teasing, feeling out of place & short hems, I'm finally coming to a point where I realized that there's nothing wrong with being a little different. People still try to tear me down about it but there will always be people doing that. These problems are mostly to make you laugh & go "OH MY GOD. THAT'S MY LIFE." But this is more than just a place to share each other's problems. It's a support group where we encourage girls to see the beauty within them (so play nice, ladies). Ask me anything & feel free to submit!

"You're only as tall as your heart will let you be and you're only as small as the world will make you seem."

Rock the 5 inch heels - Why Not?

I’m 6’1”, and have been since I stopped growing at about 18 (late bloomer I guess). I also happen to have a serious problem - I’m addicted to shoes. And not just any shoes - we’re talkin’ totally rockin’ 5 inch heels. I’ve worn heels since I was about 16 and learned how to walk in them. Back then I was only about 5’10 (haha, yeah, sooo short, I know), but I still got tons of weird looks.

At first it bothered me, but then I figured something out - I get weird looks when I wear flats. You know, the thing where people look at you, notice how tall you are, then look at your shoes to see if you’re wearing heels? Yeah, those looks. That’s when I decided I will rock the 5” heels until the day I die (or am forced into a wheelchair).

Why not? I might as well give people something to look at, right? And if it’s something, it might as well be a tall, confident woman who is rocking some damn sexy shoes.
