Tall Girl Problems

Kendra, 17 years old, 5'10.5

For all the beautiful tall girls and the problems we have to endure. Through all the teasing, feeling out of place & short hems, I'm finally coming to a point where I realized that there's nothing wrong with being a little different. People still try to tear me down about it but there will always be people doing that. These problems are mostly to make you laugh & go "OH MY GOD. THAT'S MY LIFE." But this is more than just a place to share each other's problems. It's a support group where we encourage girls to see the beauty within them (so play nice, ladies). Ask me anything & feel free to submit!

"You're only as tall as your heart will let you be and you're only as small as the world will make you seem."

For the record, while at 6’1” (5’10” by the time I was 11) I felt crazy awkward and huge all through school, finding boyfriends once I hit college was no joke crazy easy. Highschool boys might be intimidated by your height, but grown ups are most definitely NOT, and any boy who’s so insecure as to be intimidated isn’t someone you want to spend time with anyway. Seriously ladies, boys might tease you, but once you hit college age men will LOVE you. I’ve dated men as short as 5’8” and as tall as 6’7”, and every single one of them has loved every tall inch of me. Trust me, at your 20 year reunion, no one’s going to be looking at the stout 5’2” former prom queen. They’ll all be looking at you.
