Tall Girl Problems

Kendra, 17 years old, 5'10.5

For all the beautiful tall girls and the problems we have to endure. Through all the teasing, feeling out of place & short hems, I'm finally coming to a point where I realized that there's nothing wrong with being a little different. People still try to tear me down about it but there will always be people doing that. These problems are mostly to make you laugh & go "OH MY GOD. THAT'S MY LIFE." But this is more than just a place to share each other's problems. It's a support group where we encourage girls to see the beauty within them (so play nice, ladies). Ask me anything & feel free to submit!

"You're only as tall as your heart will let you be and you're only as small as the world will make you seem."

6ft.

I love my height and it took me ages to learn to. For a while I thought about all the men I couldn’t date because they’d be “intimidated” and all the outfits I couldn’t wear because of the heels putting me in danger of concussing myself and all the needless comments I get. But now I have realised that the height puts me (excuse the pun) above the girls. And, having a big chest and a big bum, makes me more womanly than most of them. I wear high heels out now and I get much more positive attention than negative. And when it comes to guys, I’ve realised that this height has toughened me up more than some men. I have more strength than a lot of them and the best of men find that sexy. We should all love being tall because we dominate the presence of a room and catch people’s eyes. Now I’ve dyed my hair purple I have even more fun with showing people I don’t care that I stand out.

I am glad you found body acceptance but let’s lay-off the language where you put-down women with less ‘womanly’ body...
