Tall Girl Problems

Kendra, 17 years old, 5'10.5

For all the beautiful tall girls and the problems we have to endure. Through all the teasing, feeling out of place & short hems, I'm finally coming to a point where I realized that there's nothing wrong with being a little different. People still try to tear me down about it but there will always be people doing that. These problems are mostly to make you laugh & go "OH MY GOD. THAT'S MY LIFE." But this is more than just a place to share each other's problems. It's a support group where we encourage girls to see the beauty within them (so play nice, ladies). Ask me anything & feel free to submit!

"You're only as tall as your heart will let you be and you're only as small as the world will make you seem."

In response to the sad work day

That really sucks, but you know what? She was probably just jealous of you because you’re tall and young and beautiful. Height is nothing to be embarrassed by and really the more confortable you are in your own skin the less negativity of others will phase you. I wore my tall heels to work the other day and was almost 6’3” with them on (and taller than most everyone in my department) but I just rocked them and nobody said anything about my height. It sounds cliched, but you really do have to love yourself. And remember next time you get something like that, that they’re the ones who are insecure. Tall women are beautiful, short women are beautiful, but being and loving yourself is the most beautiful you will ever be. So keep your head up and make up a boyfriend too, if you’d like.
