Tall Girl Problems
Kendra, 17 years old, 5'10.5For all the beautiful tall girls and the problems we have to endure. Through all the teasing, feeling out of place & short hems, I'm finally coming to a point where I realized that there's nothing wrong with being a little different. People still try to tear me down about it but there will always be people doing that. These problems are mostly to make you laugh & go "OH MY GOD. THAT'S MY LIFE." But this is more than just a place to share each other's problems. It's a support group where we encourage girls to see the beauty within them (so play nice, ladies). Ask me anything & feel free to submit!
"You're only as tall as your heart will let you be and you're only as small as the world will make you seem."

Shopping!
Banana Republic online for tall dressy clothes! I’ve never had a dress fit so well!
Ann Taylor LOFT has talls online as well.
Target has C9 Champion yoga pants in tall. These fit me pretty well!
American Eagle’s extra long works for me ONLY in jeans (khaki’s are short there?)
Delia*s has long torso one pieces.
Old Navy isn’t my favorite, but they do have talls online too!
Does anybody else wish there was a “tall” section like the “petites” in most department stores!?
Shopping suggestion
I know I’m not alone in my struggle of finding dresses that aren’t too short. Most stores only carry short dresses these days that are knee length on anyone else. I’ve found that Target has cute dresses and are still appropriate for me to wear to church without being too short. Plus, they’re super cheap if you catch them on sale :)
Zappos.com is a great site for anyone looking for large shoe sizes (I wear a size 12, occasionally a size 13 for sneakers) Also, I get most of my jeans/ pants from victoriassecret.com and gap.com! GAP’s bottoms are so long I have to cuff them, and that’s coming from me whose 6’1. Dresses from VS are also long enough for tall girls!
timestopsfornobody asked: For any Australian followers, I got my jeans from Jeanswest in the specially ordered extra long. They send them to your door for an extra $10 and they're totally unhemmed so you can adjust them to whatever length you're comfortable with. I'm 5'11 and these are great :D
Thank you :)
fav jeans: Miss Me Jeans :)
I’m 17 and six feet tall and I always used to wear Old Navy Jeans but they would always shrink and get shorter after one wash (even the “long” sized ones), so my mom got me a pair of Miss Me’s a few Christmas’ ago and now they’re all I wear. Even though they are kind of pricey ($70+), they are the best friggin pants I’ve ever worn and now I own like 6 pairs. Some jeans come with super cute designs on the pockets and seams. :)
The other day, I was shopping at Burke’s Outlet, and I found some tall-size jeans by Jeaneology. I had never heard of them before, but they were cute, and about a foot too long for me (I’m 5’8”)!
gubroll asked: I noticed that a lot of people are recommending jeans.. and Old Navy has jeans in "long" which are perfect for me (I'm about 5'11"), and "tall", which are a couple inches too long on me! They're usually around $30, but they have sales a few times a year when they're $19.
I LOVE OLD NAVY!
Thanks :)

Hollister Jeans can go for about 30-40 if you find them during a good sale. Try around September/AUgust because they do put jeans on sale for back to school wear. I also think that American Eagle jeans are good to but sometimes the hips are too big but I guess it just depends on your build. Those are usually around $40 when on sale and $40-$60 every day.
kaerlighedogblomster asked: On the topic of jeans, I have found Hollister longs and American Eagle extra-longs both a bit too short, although both are much better than other jeans that advertise "long." My all time favorites are Gap's "x-long." I am 6'2" and I usually have to roll up my straight-legged jeans from there, and I let my bootcut drag just a little bit. My sister is 6'4" and wears their jeans too, but she has a 40" inseam so they are a bit short.
Jeans!
I recommend going to H&M since they have sizes with numbers for the pant leg length. Also if there is a sale you can get them cheap!
